‘Love Actually Live’ is a multimedia concert celebration of this beloved Christmas movie & it’s back at the Wallis BH this holiday season!
If you love holiday movies and musicals like me, you absolutely MUST SEE Love Actually Live now playing at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills through December 31, 2021. This show is brilliantly staged to tell the heart-warming stories of love with live actors paired with some of the most iconic clips in the movie. I can’t RAVE about this show enough, it is just SOOOOOO good and such a perfect way to celebrate the holiday season! I saw this fun and festive show a couple of years ago and it was just as delightful and entertaining the second time around!
Love Actually Live is a first-of-its-kind, theatrical cinema experience. It’s an incredibly clever live multimedia concert-style musical that tells this classic story using clips from the film and seamlessly intertwines the scenes with live action and actors singing throughout the London setting. It really brings the movie to life in a very clever and captivating way!
This feel good musical re-imagines the iconic scenes from the movie and pairs them with an all-star cast of singers and a live orchestra. This festive uplifting show brings the film’s hit soundtrack to life with fabulous songs like “Christmas is All Around” and “Trouble With Love” to name a few.
I was absolutely enchanted by this top notch production because the actors really looked like the characters in the movie and they did an incredible job of capturing the mannerisms and nuances of each character. And every single cast member had an outstanding singing voice too, really impressive! I especially loved seeing 80’s rock singer and Broadway actor, Rex Smith bring aging rock star Billy Mack to life on stage, he nailed his mannerisms and his voice is still top notch!
Honestly, this show one of the best shows that I have seen in a long time and just what you need to put you in a festive mood this holiday season! It’s creative, clever, entertaining, it makes you smile, feel good and it’s a not-to-be-missed event of the season!
