Socially Driven: 5 of My Favorite Places To Go in Los Angeles

I love LA! That’s why I am so excited to partner with Mercedes Benz and bring you my top 5 current favorite spots to checkout in the city of stars

I’m partnering with Mercedes-Benz to share what I love about Los Angeles – there are so many things that I treasure about this amazing city, not the least of which is living so close to the beautiful Pacific Ocean and I can get my fix anytime I want! People are always asking me about my favorite spots and hidden gems in this amazing city, and I decided that it was high time to share them with you guys. If you had just one day in Los Angeles, these are my can’t-miss spots:

Let’s start with the most important meal of the day breakfast/brunch. Hands down my favorite place for brunch in Los Angeles is More Than Waffles!! Get the Mediterranean Omelette with egg whites (Heaven on a plate!) and a freshly made Belgian Waffle (remember to order the pumpkin waffle when it’s in season!) And don’t forget to ask for a side of their homemade spicy salsa and their divine seasonal jam! Plus on the weekends, they have live music outside and your pooch can enjoy the fab setting too.

If you love the outdoors, make a point of hiking Fryman Canyon. It’s easy to get to/located right in the heart of Studio City off Laurel Canyon, it’s gorgeous and green after all the LA rain and it’s super dog friendly, so there are lots of opportunities for your pup to socialize too. My husband, son, dog and I go for hikes there regularly and it’s just about an hour round trip, so it’s the perfect amount of exercise too.

Are you a wine lover? Wine not enjoy some fabulous urban wine tasting at Malibu Wines. This hyper-local winery has a great atmosphere that beckons you to stay for hours, so you might want to bring a picnic to enjoy while you taste local wines and soak up the gorgeous LA weather year round. And the best part is that now, you don’t have to drive hours away to imbibe some tasty California wines. Cheers to that!

If you are a foodie, you MUST treat yourself to a meal at Scratch Bar & Kitchen. You’ll want to put yourself in the talented culinary hands of Top Chef contestant and Master Chef Phillip Frankland Lee. This is a cozy foodie joint nestled in the heart of the San Fernando Valley that serves tasting menus without servers; so as a clever twist, the chefs who cook your food are the ones that have the honor of serving it to you. This really allows you to feel and taste all the passion that goes into creating each and every divine dish!

And last, but certainly not least is my all time favorite quintessential Los Angeles experience: Enjoying an al fresco picnic and seeing an outdoor concert during the summer and early fall months at the Hollywood Bowl. This incredible experience is not to be missed! The venue is spectacular and the acoustics are out of this world. Imagine sipping bubbly under the stars while listening to the sultry voice of Diana Krall or a live jazz band; and some nights you are even treated to a glorious fireworks display too.
